I have lived in east London for 10 years now and love it! I moved here in my early 20’s and have seen it evolve and blossom in this time. It’s so close to central London but has everything you need just here ,in the past 10 years it has changed a lot. A lot more diverse cafes and interesting restaurants have popped up ,transformations of old disused buildings have created new places to hang out, Old markets have been revamped to offer a great platform for local creatives to sell their wares. There is always a market on somewhere in east London selling anything from vintage clothes to organic vegetables it’s a real feast for the eyes and a great day out even if you are just browsing.

私が大好きなイーストロンドンに住んで10年が経ちます。20歳代の前半にここに引っ越し、この街が発展し開花する時期に立ち会ってきました。ロンドンの中心部からも近く、私が求めるものが全てあります。この10年間でいろんなものが変わってきました。いろんなタイプのカフェや面白いレストランができたり、廃墟になっていたビルが再生され新しい場を作り出しています。古い市場は、地元のクリエイターが作る商品を販売するマーケットへと変貌しています。イーストロンドンには、ヴィンテージの洋服やオーガニックの野菜などが売られているマーケットが点在していて、散歩をしていても楽しい一日を過ごせるのです。
